Brian Christensen is a state-authorised public accountant with more than 20 years’ experience. He heads Grant Thornton’s Aarhus office and assists clients with audit, financial reporting, bookkeeping, VAT, budgeting, key performance indicators and growth plans, ensuring that the finance function supports day-to-day operations, liquidity and business development. Brian primarily works with owner-managed businesses, trades, commercial and service companies and smaller manufacturing businesses, where decisions are made and implemented quickly.

Brian focuses on clear, direct communication and on translating complex rules on audit, tax and financial reporting into clear conclusions and concrete recommendations. The aim is to create confidence in the company’s financial position and provide a robust basis for management decision-making.

Sector experience

Brian has worked with a wide range of owner-managed businesses across multiple sectors throughout his career. He has particular experience with the construction and trades sector, commercial and service businesses, smaller manufacturing companies and consulting and advisory firms.

He also has in-depth knowledge of the challenges growth companies and smaller start-ups face around liquidity, financing, bookkeeping, financial reporting and tax. Brian draws actively on this broad sector experience in his client work, ensuring that his advice is concrete, practical and tailored to each business. He enjoys working with start-ups, from early considerations around the business model and proof of concept through to scaling, fundraising and potential exit.
