Whistleblowing

At Grant Thornton Denmark, we strive to maintain an open and responsible culture. We actively work to ensure that matters which may harm the company, our employees, clients, or other stakeholders are identified and investigated promptly.

If you become aware of serious matters that do not comply with legislation or generally accepted ethical standards, you have several options:

As a starting point, we encourage external parties to contact their usual contact person at Grant Thornton Denmark, who can escalate the matter internally.

If you prefer not to do so, you may report the matter through our whistleblower channel.

The whistleblower channel can be used to report serious violations of law or other misconduct, including:

  • Violations of EU law
  • Violations or potential violations of audit legislation
  • Violations or potential violations of the Danish Anti-Money Laundering Act and related regulations

All reports are received and handled confidentially through an independent third party:

SEGES Innovation’s whistleblower channel – Whistler.

How to submit a report

You can submit your report via Whistler:

WB.SEGES.DK/grantthornton

Here you can submit your report confidentially and – if you wish – anonymously. SEGES acts solely as a data processor and does not access the report at any point.

The report is forwarded in encrypted form to the designated contact persons at Grant Thornton. Once receipt has been confirmed by Grant Thornton, the report is deleted from SEGES’ systems.

What information should you provide?

The more specific your report is, the better it can be processed.

We recommend that you – as far as possible – describe:

  • The matter you wish to report, with as many details as possible
  • The nature of the violation
  • The names of the individuals and companies involved
  • Any documentation or other relevant information

What happens next?

Once a report has been registered, it will be handled by Grant Thornton’s designated contact persons in Risk & Compliance (Professional Practice department). More than one person will always be involved in order to minimize the risk of conflicts of interest.

The contact persons will investigate the matter and prepare a report for the Executive Management, which forms the basis for any potential actions.

If you have provided contact details, you will receive feedback within three months.
